A Very Special Sunday!

We got some much-needed rain last night and were thinking that we might have more today, but it held off as we came together to worship and praise our Lord and enjoy fellowship with one another.  We started our service with a congregational song, followed by the welcome and prayer by Matt,  We then were blessed to witness the ordinance of baptism which illustrates our death to sin and coming to new life in Christ.  After that, the choir, led by Debbie,song with our orchestra and all our talented accompanists presented a new anthem "O Christ My Rock And My Redeemer".  The congregation joined in for a few more songs and then we were so happy to have Pastor Wes back for the message to prepare our hearts for the time at the end of the service, when we were privileged to participate in  Communion or the Lord's Supper in which we remember and honor the sacrifice that Christ made for us on the cross so that we could spend eternity in Heaven with Him.  During the invitation we enjoyed seeing two children come forward to receive Christ as their Saviour.  It was a wonderful morning to be a part of FBC!!!
