Field of poppies

Suddenly spotted this field of poppies on my way to mum's. It was stunning and this photo really does not do it justice.
After taking the photo I noticed a couple of bunches of flowers by the side of the road. Unfortunately a young man had been killed only recently. This is such a quiet spot it's hard to take it in.
Took my mum for a walk round the village taking more blips on the way. She is 86 and I really notice her slowing down with a walk she could easily have managed just a few months ago now making her tired.
