The Peperbus
Every year on the Monday of Vastenavend the Peperbus (officially called St-Gertrudis church) plays a very important role in the play for the children (age 1-122). The Tower can actually speak that afternoon!
This year a (very big) fly landed on his nose. After the children helped him to blow the fly away, the Peperbus rolled his eyes, and the play could continue. Lots of jokes in the story for adults to. And even though you know it’s not really the Tower speaking automatically you turn to the tower to see him when he speaks! :-D
On the square is a special place for the children so they can see the whole story without looking only to legs of grown ups…
