I have never seen any water in this ditch before. I pass it every day and have done so since July 2022 and it has never contained anything more exciting than grass, weeds and shopping trolleys, but now it is filled with excess rain. Goodness there must have been a lot of rain over the weekend while I was away. I haven't been back to the river yet but when that was dreadfully flooded at the start of January this ditch was still dry.
