Sunrise

I was so fortunate to arrive at this location and capture this moment, behind me flocks of curlews and lapwings were performing the most spectacular show wheeling and swooping whilst calling out in the quiet of the early morning. It was really wonderful to watch a curlew flying just above the water turning and one way and then another in a split second, they generally seem quite placid birds but now I know that they are extremely agile at speed.
