Sports photography

we had a great talk at camera club last night by Marc Aspland, the Chief Sports Photographer at 'The Times'. He was a very entertaining speaker and had some great images of famous sportspeople and major events. What I found even more interesting though were the images taken of small local events, children playing on the streets and co-incidental sports images taken whilst on holiday. It was also good to see how he worked on taking something different from the masses of other photographers at the big events using a different point of view or with careful attention to some of the smaller details that are often missed. Overall an excellent evening.
