CarrieB at Newhaven

She's a working inshore fishing boat, by the look of her; also much photographed at Newhaven harbour.  

Afternoon walk by the Trinity path to the shore, then along past the lighthouse to check on the swans in the ponds at the end of the Western Harbour development; 1 adult and 4 of last year's cygnets. 

There's pile driving going on at the new riverside berth development; metal on metal, echoing back off the residential buildings; we looked for but couldn't see the machine making the racket, though there were assorted other diggers and cranes working.

Sunshine, wind at our backs, 8C high. Very pleasant February weather.  Back by no 11 bus.
