Spikes

The pigeon 'problem' at work is getting worse every day. Today spikes were put up on the outside windowsill.  Not happy about this, and I do hope no pigeon will try to land on them.

But the windowsill is always covered with pigeon poo; so bad that I don't like to open the window anymore.
Another menmade problem, but what to do? I had loose tinfoil fastened between window and frame for a while; the noise it made in the wind scared them off a bit, but never long.  And now those torture things. Not my idea.
