3334. Dundee Tapestry…

….at the V&A Dundee.

I had it in my head that the current exhibition was the Kimono’s one but instead we got to see the Dundee Tapestry!  The Kimono exhibition isn’t until May this year and I even had the date in my diary but didn't check!
So…..when we got to the V&A, we saw the tapestry instead and it was beautiful….all these gorgeous panels made by a huge number of people and displayed beautifully…with one slight irritation….I do wish they would somehow order the panels so that you viewed them in a specific order (as the National Tapestry of Scotland) as i had to go around several times to ensure that I’d seen them all.  They also don’t have a guide printed yet and are apparently waiting to see if people actually ask for one, (I did) as I’d love to keep a memento of our viewing of these tapestries.

We had lunch in Dundee then caught the bus home and by the time we got back to Perth it was pouring down with rain so we caught another bus home instead of walking the last 15 minutes!

My step daughter and her fiance are coming over tomorrow and we’re going out for lunch for her birthday, (which was on Monday) and it’s actually my eldest’s birthday tomorrow, two in one week!

I was going to do some alterations to a dress I bought recently but was just too tired once we get home, I’ll maybe do it over the weekend.
