Geocaching trip
We thought we'd get soaked today as it was raining quite hard when I set off but it wasn't too bad and cleared up later in the walks.
We did the two adventure labs of 5 stages each, the bonus for one of those and then we had a brew from our flasks before driving nearer to the bonus for the second adventure lab, then off to grab a drive by on the way home. We had parked up on the little car park across from the cache which then gave us an excuser to have another brew before heading home.
Good news re daughter's chest xray - it was normal but the GP wants to do an ECG, a blood test and a respiratory test.
I slept badly last night with long periods lying awake and restlessness - perhaps due to worrying about my daughter.
Able World rang this afternoon to ask if they could deliver Terry's equipment (for after his op) before 5pm and we said yes. A few minutes later they were at the door! He has been supplied with 2 raised toilet seats (one for upstairs and one for downstairs), a perching stool and some other bits and pieces eg a grabber and an aid to putting socks on (which I recall from last time as being useless).
None of this equipment is returnable and all has to be disposed of when finished with. We had to take it all to the tip last time. What a waste - no wonder the NHS never has enough money - it wastes too much of it. I believe though that in other parts of the country all equipment is returnable as on loan only.
Photo is of a lovely building near Roby Station.
