Valentines for one
Well it's been a bit of a day. I've been in the office in the mornings this week as there are priority meetings where I had to be there in person, but since I have the lurgy I've been wearing a mask in the office and on the bus home. I came home at lunch today to finish off work from home and thought I'd treat myself to some easy food from Tesco. The supermarket was rammed with cheap bouquets, evidence that someone had been offering a bow and wrapping service earlier in the day and all of the easy clubcard-meal-deals had been rebranded as 'Valentines dinners for too'. I was almost elbowed out of the way by a man frantically perusing the selection whilst gripping a cheap bouquet. The joys.
Realised when I got home that I hadn't actually done a covid test since Monday so did one whilst my soup was cooking, and wow did that positive line appear quickly! Surprised at how high-functioning I'd been for the week given that I apparently have covid, I sat down to crack on with the rest of my notes I needed to write up.
P is out at college this evening so I sat and ate half of the valentines meals for one (a harrissa chickpea tart thing, actually pretty tasty) and laughed at Cinema therapy ranking 90s rom-com relationships (the ranting about 'Never been kissed' V for Vendette segment is brilliant). Blip is the remainder which will likley be for lunch as I work from home for the rest of the week.
Oh, and it should be a swords night but I don't get to go because covid / lurgy :(
