Five

My blip today was going to be the extra: Bailey deigning to be on the same sofa as me for quite a bit of the afternoon and early evening but then I have used my time on the sofa this evening to finish this. I seem to be in an Irish fiction groove at the minute and this one was purchased with a book token from Secret Santa so an added bonus. I think it was worthy of its entry on the shortlist and the good reviews. I have enjoyed all 643 pages of it and will be sorry to let the characters go. 

Books have featured in the day with a visit from a colleague and friend to have her pick of yesterday's book cull. We had a good not-in-work-catch-up and a wander round the corner for some lunch. Before that I had dropped off quite a few bags and bits and pieces at the charity shop which was a bit of a palaver but hopefully will be more straightforward next time. Half-term jobs being ticked off the list is proving to be quite satisfying and four more days to go yet.
