Apres le deluge

Quiet again after a spectacular hour of rain that coincided almost exactly with tonight's game. There were the first few drops of rain as I walked up to the high school but by the time I had got changed and got outside it was lashing near horizontally, driven by a fierce wind. We were just five-a-side, although we did manage to bring one of the goals in to shorten the pitch. We started well but then the other five got ahead and stayed that way for much of the game although never more than three up. And we turned it round at the death, scoring a winner in 'next goal wins'. Scored a few early on and did my bit to set up a few others. And as we tropped off the pitch the rain stopped and the wind eased off. Typical!!
