L'équipe

A St. Valentine's Day reunion with old friends.  "L'équipe" (the team) is what we were dubbed when we would all assemble for dinners in restaurants and at each other's houses, or descend en masse to local markets and summer vernissages.  There were eight of us here.  At full strength we were twelve - mostly French, J and me of course, and an American couple.  Sadly, one half of the American duo has passed away, and the other unlikely to return.  And then there were ten.  This is the largest assembly of the équipe since before Covid, and we ate and drank and remembered old times and absent friends.
