James' Hellebores

To Hyde Park again - there's always something going on. Today, sis and I had the pleasure of getting inside the railings around one of the hellebore gardens. Plantsman James was very happy to show us around pointing out the beauty of the different varieties. 

All that fresh air gave us an appetite so we adjourned to the Lido café for burger and chips plus a natter.

A fun morning having met several of the new key people in the parks. One such is Jo who is supervising the repairs to the road bridge over the Serpentine. On Christmas eve a driver crashed into the balustrade, sending tons of stone onto the path below. Fortunately nobody hurt. See Extra.
