One of the best things about a Belair hike is that you get to see things, know exactly where they are, and can go back later. A quick trip - blip done. This particular variety of sundew (drosera auriculata) is very close to an entrance gate about 2 km from our place. So it's an easy short drive and a quick walk and you're there.

The sun was exactly in the right spot today, and I just love the way these tiny sundews glitter in the sun. They are very small, but scrambly - they can climb up to 50 cms, but the ones I saw today were 10 cms at best. It's wonderful that we get these growing so prolifically in the wild.

Although they are small right now, I'll most likely go back a few times during the late winter to spring seasons to get them as they grow bigger and flower.
