Prince's Quay
Thanks for all the kind words and presents left for yesterday's pottery still life. A plastic bucket chair made the perfect setting for it. Today it's one last shot of Hull, which probably looks better by night unless the sun is shining and the sky is blue ... two things markedly lacking during our stay.
A final day at the travelodge. Jamie slept in but I might just be beginning to feel the benefit of a slower pace of life this last week and didn't feel the need for a long lie in .... but I did have a siesta late afternoon! We've started packing up, well I have. We will sort Jamie's things this evening. He's out for a meal with his mum who has come up to accompany him back on the train. She'll stay on in Wales for a week which will be good all round.
A morning post-op check and removal of the drains then we'll all be on our way. I am stopping at Ruth's tomorrow night. It will be nice to see her :-) I may drop in at the first Alpine Garden Society show of the season in Pershore on Saturday as it's only 40 minutes from Ruth's. A little treat before I head home.
