aka the Annual Birthday Cake Blip.

It’s that time of year when Sophie helps me summon up the puff to blow out the candles on my birthday cake. This year’s cake was Tess’s home-made banana and chocolate chip and it was delicious.

Earlier, we’d enjoyed a family meal at the local Lounge bar before coming back to open my presents: I was truly spoilt with a great selection of books, amongst other things. I need a holiday to make a start on them -fortunately we’ve got one next week!
