The lake on our road

It was very mild indeed this morning as we checked out our local lake. No kingfishers today but we did see our first Brimstone butterfly of the year. I hope these early starters don’t get caught out by a cold snap. It’s still only mid February!
We were grateful to our son in law for giving us a lift into town this afternoon. As we came back by bus it started to rain gently.
