Grey Crowned Crane

A rather spectacular bird which can be found in large parts of Africa.

Here it is in the grounds of the Lakeland Wildlife Oasis. This is a Wildlife Charity situated in our National Landscape area. It does valuable research and conservation work and helps to educate children about wildlife. When our grandchildren were younger they enjoyed several visits.

Today we were there to deliver several young trees to help them develop a hedge round the new carpark.
