Brick Ball

We went for a wander in Holmebrook Valley Country Park in Chesterfield, and ended walking past this unusual sculpture.  You may have seen it before, but if not then it is a sphere made of bricks. If you looked closely, some of the bricks are showing signs of weathering.

The extra is of dangling catkins taken along our walk. I tried several times to get a similar photo but with the family in the background. Unfortunately none of the others had the catkins in focus. Another sign of the impending spring.
