Today I actually saw and heard 7 or 8 cranes.
Made some more medlar jelly/syrup from the mummified ones in the fridge. I had to soak them for 3 days but it worked, so we have one jar of reincarnated medlar jelly. Otherwise, I cooked mushrooms and chicory with haloumi for lunch. It wasn't bad at all.
