‘Today’s Parkwalker’

It’s for everyone - whether they run, jog, or just walk, everyone is welcome at parkrun! 

Despite this, many people, having registered online, find it difficult and intimidating to take the all-important next step of actually turning up for the first time. 

One common fear is, ‘Will I be fast enough?’
To which the answer is ‘Yes!!! You can walk if you like!’
And you won't be last either - the last person to finish is always the tailwalker, who makes sure everyone is accounted for.

To encourage people who come and walk, enter the parkwalker! 

It's a relatively new role - a friendly face positioned just ahead of the tailwalker and providing support and encouragement specifically to people walking at the back of the field.
