The Old Chocolate Factory.
For those of you that have enjoyed the pleasures of Fry's Chocolate over the years! This is where it originated. There was an older Fry's factory in Union Street Bristol in 1887 ,but the Fry family,as Quakers, decided their staff should have a more Rural setting. So they built a new factory @ Keynsham nr Bristol and moved there in 1923.After 1981 the Fry name was dropped and all the products were named Cadbury. In 2010 the Cadbury group was bought by Kraft. So now another great British name has vanished and soon this building will vanish as well, complete with it's Cadbury name(see sign on building)
There endeth the chocolate lesson! lol
