At a Distance

We drove over to the Barview Jetty to watch the waves crashing on the rocks. The surf was high but there were thousands of black ducks bouncing around on the waves; they took turns diving and resurfacing. I thought they might be Surf Scooters and I confirmed it when I got out my telephoto lens. It was dusk, very low light; ducks bouncing around, full telephoto, and this is the photo I got. 

I have seen a few surf scooters when we were on the boat in the bay, but never more than 5 or 6...now thousands!  I love it.
