Year of the Dragon
February 10th was the Chinese New Year, this year being the Year of the Dragon. Today the Worcestershire Chinese Association celebrated the fact. The highlight of the occasion was the dragon dance. The road by the Museum of Royal Worcester was closed and the dancing occurred up and down the road. Unfortunately half the population of Worcester turned up to see it as it was quite a pleasant day with none of the rain forecast. At one point the dragon was paraded through the square past GoodRoots and I was able to get a quick photo.
I believe there were other Chinese attractions though I only saw a stall selling stuff, plus free fortune crackers were being handed out. I did notice a giant panda, its keeper looked worried that they had been left with a baby to tend! Both in the extras.
