Tinto's Back
Feeling much better today and got a bit back to normal. Did some jobs in the garage, putting the final lick of white paint on the walls, then sorting out the door which was sticking and causing prolbems with the handle.
Listened to a fairly traumatic episode of Hardcore History Addendum whilst doing jobs, where Dan Carlin did a reminder of the atrocities of the holocaust and the political thinking that led there. Some interesting stuff about how the politically ideology doesn't really matter, if the systems of checks and balances get eroded and a far left or right party get enough power, then lots of people end up dying. There were some stats about how far left-wing governments had killed lots more people in recent-ish history, but had a lot longer to do it. Some scary parallels with modern day politics.
So after jobs and podcast heaviness I went for a walk round the village which was a joy. The spadgers were twittering in the hedges, the sun was out, the crocus were coming up and it felt like spring. Went around the top to get my favourite view of Tinto which now has the new turbines in fonrt of it. If you look closely you can see the construction happening on one of the back ones.
