Seeing double
We drove home today through thick fog and torrential showers in Cornwall, then sunshine and showers for the rest of the way. The Red Kites were waiting for us.
I didn't mention it, but I discovered I had shingles shortly after I arrived in Cornwall. Shingles is one of the infections that pharmacists have recently been empowered to treat. The pharmacist in Newquay was quietly thrilled to have his first shingles patient. He went through the online triage and proudly prescribed a course of anti-viral drugs for me. I am now on day 5 out of 7. The rash has stopped spreading and the pain is easing. I feel so lucky to have been treated so quickly :-)
