Surprise

The Iris weren’t flowering when I went on holiday so it was a lovely surprise to see them in the sunshine today.

It was a day of chores.

Nigel popped round in the afternoon with my birthday present. It hadn’t arrived for my birthday and then it arrived just before the holiday and there wasn’t an opportunity to give it to me. As he’s building a path that leads through the back garden he’s bought me a bench to place at the end of the path. It’s made from wood previously wrapped around whisky. He knows how much I like whisky and we both like re-using materials. You’ll see it once the path is finished.
