Surprise

Purple crocuses in the pot containing one of the hostas. I'd forgotten about  them, so it was a pleasant surprise to see them in flower this morning.

Grey skies and very mild, and it was forecast to stay dry during daylight hours. Before he left for work, MrM suggested that I forget the jobs in the house, make the most of the weather, and spend the day in the garden. So I did, and tackled lots of little jobs including cutting back the ornamental grass (there's lots of it), getting rid of a bit more spirea, and bagging some laurel branches. Result - three more huge bags of garden waste ready to go to the recycling centre next week!
