Crocus time

It's been a mild and sunny day, which meant this Crocus  flower,  naturalised in our "lawn" , had  opened up nicely. 
Martin had a well-deserved awayday to Didcot railway centre, while I stayed at home to begin writing a lot of thank you letters and doing other admin.
We did manage a short walk when he returned home. I noticed the birds are really beginning to sing now, as they establish their territories.
