Wood Management

Wood manages itself if left alone.
If left alone it grows, knows no end
until wind, or bugs or time takes it.

This wood is managed (apparently).
It was the wrong wood.
Grown too far, and too fast.
Not native, so it's dispatched
by the log load, somewhere.
Elsewhere. Not here.

Gaps left by the trees,
like childhood teeth, suddenly gone.
Just stumps, as if too much sugar
was consumed.
Too much of the wrong stuff,
inhaled.
Not natural.
Not native.

(Why not plant the right trees?)

Match Report:
Early morning training event. Free kick in the first half providing momentum for colossal result. Excellent match all round, no subs required. Away teams played well.

Work: 6 Hill Climbing 0 (except in the car)

(Photo taken first thing while mist down, burnt off to reveal unusually hot day.)
