Pelican poles

It was a soft, silvery morning. All the pelican poles were taken. There are four (at least) pelicans in the picture. (Best on full screen.)

In the afternoon we had a huge thunder storm. I guess that would have driven them off their poles.  I wonder where they go in a storm.
