Magenta

This morning was spent cleaning up the construction mess I made yesterday and sorting out a 55 gallon kitchen compost bin that had gone septic. The kids left the lid off through several rainstorms and I was lazy about mixing leaves into the waste.
I ended up spreading it all out on a tarp to dry and then mixing it into the leaf compost pile. Should eventually produce some nice dirt for the garden.

This evening we went out to my mom’s house for dinner. I took a stroll through the forest after dinner and found a sandy creek. It looked ideal for frogs and salamanders. I’d like to return in the summer to see what we can find.
