Our favorite cassis jam …

We always look forward to coming to Paris and eating things we do not find at home.
One of these is cassis (black currant) jam.

It is difficult to find anything containing currants (red or black) in the US because they are known to transmit a disease to pine trees and it is illegal in many areas to grow them.

We have already gone through 4 jars of this jam. We also have been enjoying magret de
canard (duck breast) and mache (a salad green) neither of which can be found in our part of the US.
