The Wizard of Earthsea
Today again starts with lunch - this time at a Greek restaurant just off Camden High Street. Alexander the Great serves up a table full of vege mezze that satisfies and delights.
A sunny walk down to St Pancras via a surprisingly empty cemetery. The biggest memorial (extra) celebrates a dead rich woman who gave some of her wealth to the poor - but clearly not that much :)
We wander round the British Library waiting for our appointed hour to enter the Fantasy exhibition. It's very busy and somewhat underwhelming - although there are interesting exhibits ranging from Ursula le Guin's handwritten text for Earthsea to Gandalf's staff from the Peter Jackson movies.
We head to Coal Drops Yard for a bit chocolate before parting ways. Megan is going to Swindon and I'm heading to Tunbridge Wells to stay with Tim and Karen.
Tim meets me at High Brooms. His mother, Joyce, is in hospital, barely conscious and not at all well. We talk things through over a kebab at a local eatery before heading back to his place and (bizarrely) watching a Hyde Park concert by The Who from 2015.
