One in ,one out !

First thing this morning the broken ladder was removed and it’s replacement delivered . We were impressed by the service . The tripod ladder was quite expensive but I’ve just climbed it and it’s extremely sturdy so worth every penny.
While NC was hedge cutting the roofers were here repairing several bits and pieces on the roof . I cleared off to do a few domestic chores at Jessica’s in readiness for their return on Wednesday and then met up with two ex work colleagues for lunch. The focus of primary education has changed completely since I took early retirement almost 4 years ago . When I taught it was just about still possible to teach creatively with a focus of critical thinking skills and use of methods that met a range of learning styles and special needs . Now it’s is knowledge based rather than skill based. My colleagues are not happy with the restricted diet they are expected to spoon feed the children with . Glad it’s not my problem!
So happy that the days are lengthening, it’s almost 5pm and there is still time for a walk !
