We visit the house of Pettson and Findus
A while back we discovered this display, this world, inside the musuem in Sundsvall. It is all based on a recreation of the world in the children's books by Sven Nordqvist, about Pettson and Findus.
Part of this world are the Mumbles, or are they Muckles; small creatures who live in the corners of the house, behind cupboards or at the back of the shelves. Freya and Arthur discovered some of them living under the bed!
It was a very successful visit and because the kids enjoyed it so much we all enjoyed it. You can see what they found under the bed in this flickr photo.
Only 15 people are allowed in at a time so you need to book (free) tickets in advance, but it makes it into a slightly less hectic session. At our session there were three families around!
We followed this up with a trip to the cafe just outside the musuem and discovered the other two families also sitting there so it seems the cafe does well out of the exhibition!
We got home shortly before it got dark and some played out in the snow as darkness fell, while others cooked a hamburger feast for my birthday dinner. (73 today!)
Having two small bundles of energy around certainly raises the energy level at a dinner!
