Inspiration

I didn’t blip yesterday. We walked at Emsworth in the morning, in the rain. We both felt weary. The time of year I suspect. I feel I have to search harder and be kinder to myself to find energy and inspiration compared to lighter and warmer months.

The afternoon bought sunshine and lunch at The Kennels with one of Andy’s sisters and other family members. These included two dogs - a whippet and a Patterdale terrier. I felt more energetic for the company and conversation, and a walk in the sunshine!

Today I’ve walked Merlin and got extremely muddy. That wasn’t especially helpful as our boiler has a fault affecting the hot water which is now in low supply and lacking much warmth. An engineer spent two hours trying to identify the problem. We have a specialist engineer coming tomorrow who we hope will confirm the cause of the fault and fix it. We shall see!
