Almost there
Once again we had A the painter and the lads from Vistalite this morning. A told us that he’ll be finished by the end of Thursday, which is great news. The lads put the new window in the man cave downstairs, put a pane of glass over each of the three stained glass windows, and put the new side panels in the French door. Tomorrow they’ll install the actual door. The difference is already amazing. Going from ten panes of glass to just one lets in so much more light and looks much sleeker. We can’t wait for the new door to be installed tomorrow.
I left just before 9am to walk down to my Pilates class and when that had finished I went to the MoleMap Clinic at Oamaru Hospital for a full check - photos and physical check. I now have a benchmark. Apparently I have very few moles and none of them are of concern at the moment - such a relief. MrMacD went to the Menzshed.
This afternoon was a bit messy, as we couldn’t settle down to anything much. We could see a monster attacking the burnt out house two doors down, which was fascinating to watch. We have heard that the family is buying a house elsewhere and the bare plot will be sold. We will wait to see what happens. We also managed to order new light fittings for the lounge and entrance hallway, which is a relief. Also, the light fitting for the internal hallway hasn’t been. despatched yet, so that order has been cancelled and a new order placed with a different store.
While MrMacD prepared supper I dipped into Blippers’ journals and am now, hopefully, up to date.
I took photos of a mural on the side of an alleyway wall that was painted by the artist who owned the house that burnt down in October - Here - and then when I returned home the house was being demolished.
