A desperate blip today- I'm nearly at 100 and didn't want to miss a day. I had to go to the induction evening for parents tonight as youngest, A, is going to secondary school in September.

A quick stop off in Marlborough High St led me to a large crowd of young people, queueing up outside the record shop. It is a strange enough sight having a thriving record shop in a town when all the major ones like HMV have closed, but having one with people queueing out the door is even more surprising.

A new young artist- Tom Odell was playing a gig in the courtyard outside the shop. (Apparently he has won the critics choice at the Brit Awards) he was signing autographs along with members of his band.
