A day at the museum.

We spent most of the day with Mikkel at the Maritime museum in Oslo, where the ships Fram and Gjøa can be visited. Fram was used three times on expeditions to Arctic and Antarctica by the explorers Fridtjof Nansen 1893 - 96, Otto Sverdrup 1898 - 1902 and Roald Amundsen 1910 - 1912. Amundsen reached the South Pole 1911. He sailed Gjøa which was the first ship to sail through the Northwest passage, the seaway between Europe and Asia north of the North American continent.
