Seaweed and sea defences.
Out at a decent time as FK had set his alarm an hour earlier than needed! We took a drive to Cromer and parked in a long stay carpark. Our intention was to walk from Cromer to Overstrand and back for fish and chips.
We started along the beach and the wind was blowing a hoolie. We found the very battered Banksy on the sea wall, that first appeared in August 21 "Luxury rentals only" with shells and crabs, but it was so faded, there was no writing visible. See extra.
Carrying along the beach, the tide was right out so all the groynes were in full glory, with rock pools and seaweed. There has been such alot of erosion and slides of the Cliffs over the years, there are plenty if sea defenses closer to Overstrand. We walked up into the village, stopping for a cuppa, before walking back via the coastal path and Golf course. The cliff has fallen away so much, there was a part that was directly on the course. The sign says watch out for flying golf balls! The remains of a house was also evident. Past the lighthouse and back into town for takeaway fish & chips before the car park charge ran out!
Dropped into mum's to mow the lawn......She'd already done it as we'd mentioned it yesterday. There were bits that had been missed as she didn't have the energy to unhook the lead that had caught on a rose bush....even FK rolled his eyes.
FK set about revision, MrK read and I mosaiced.
A happy day.
