Witch hazel

This witch hazel is quite a young shrub and hasn’t flowered very well until this year. In fact, I had forgotten all about it until I walked a slightly different way around the edge of the garden yesterday and came across it in all its glory. I was delighted as I think its tousled-looking blooms are very attractive.
Lunch Club was very well attended today, with men out-numbering women which is unusual. The home-made sticky toffee pudding and ice cream went down particularly well.
Nick and I have got hooked on a mini series on Netflix: The Stranger, a thriller based on a book by Harlan Coben. We started watching just one episode in an evening but tonight we just had to watch two as we got so involved……. Just two more to go!
