Teal riding the waves

Not original I know but I do like teal ducks and in the absence of anything more exciting here's one on the river. The tide was coming in and the wind was stirring the water. Ripples rather than waves. 

Very wet when the 4 year old arrived at 07:00 but much nicer now with sunshine and blue sky. We'll get outside once her post lunch chillout has happened. I'm enjoying a chillout too. 

Had a very helpful email from Angus Council Archives this morning. I'll see if it comes to anything in relation to my great grandfather's schooling. I hope it does but if not it's so good to know that these kinds of public services still exist with knowledgeable people to staff them.
