Grasmere Gingerbread

Second time to Grasmere this week, but sadly the weather today was really grim.

I met RH at Mathilde's where we had the best cup of hot chocolate.  We had a good catch up and it allowed our coats and things to dry out a bit.  The short walk from the car park had allowed the rain to drench everything.

From here for a tour around the village, stopping at the famous Grasmere Gingerbread for supplies.  Note how wet it was leading into the shop.  The rain was so heavy at this point we decided to return to Mathilde's for an early lunch.  Very tasty too.

Drove home in pouring rain but at least it brightened up and stopped when I got back to Grange.
