Black Bowl

This bowl belonged to my Mum and I can never remember a time when it wasn't in use, for eggs, fruit, or trinkets etc.    It's ceramic (maybe basalt), measures 8" x 4", and is ideal for potpourri.   Other than that I don't know anything about it at all but I love its patterns and matt black effect.   There are no markings on it whatsoever, which I find quite intriguing.
