Hints of spring on the riverbank .

We took the dry hour between the episodes of rain to walk our reluctant hound .I was looking out for signs of spring , there were plenty of alder trees adorned with their catkins and willow trees wearing their adornments too.
A busy day domestically and now an evening with my sister who is staying overnight before heading up to see her son In Edinburgh, we live at the halfway mark .
Up early tomorrow to restart our childcare duties, the little family are back in the country but still travelling home . What a long day for them all !
