Rippled bark

Every time I take a walk in the park at lunchtime I find so many pictures I could choose from to publish as blips. I went out with the express purpose of taking a picture of "baby conkers" that I've seen recently, but came back with this. What an incredible tree; the bark is just amazing. I've walked past here so many times and hardly seen it. An everyday scene but only noticed because I needed a blip for the day!
