Last Sunset

I’m finally posting again.
Tomorrow we are leaving beautiful Colombia, and our small piece of paradise. We’ve had an incredible time surrounded by family and friends, and also listening to so many interesting stories, funny and sad. We tried exotic fruits, enjoyed the colors of the tropics, water in all its forms, pools, showers and ocean, as well as rides to the city, fresh fish and veggies, and particularly sunsets. Feeling grateful for all there was. This is a country with many natural resources but also of enormous inequality and poverty. As in many other parts of the world, people are struggling to survive. Here, I feel more connected to the regular people and see closely how they do their best to cope with the daily challenges. Nowhere people have it easy.

Now, it is time to head back home. I hope to post some back blips when we arrive in rainy CA. Julian had a great time.
